Injury Management
Not just the spine.
As Gonstead chiropractors, our approach to help manage any condition in the body is quite holistic. If we assess a patient with an injury in the extremities (upper or lower limb), we always also assess and take into account the potential involvement of the rest of the body, particularly the spine.
Adjustments may be performed on almost any poorly functioning joint in the body when clinically indicated. It is quite possible, however, that a problem in the neck may be influencing a tennis elbow, or a problem in the pelvis may be influencing knee pain or a tight hamstring.
Non spinal symptoms/conditions that people commonly see us for include: shoulder injuries, knee injuries, carpal tunnel injuries, plantar fasciitis, sprained ankles, tennis or golfers elbow, TMJ dysfunction.
Self help exercises are also an important part of our approach.
